previously mentioned, I'm working with Kotobukiya to publish a book thats filled with otaku rooms belonging to dannychoo.com readers. Today I'm excited to announce that submissions are now open over at figure.fm and you can read the rules and nitty gritty details over in this post. Previously, you needed to have permissions to upload at dannychoo.com but now anybody can signup at figure.fm and participate to have the chance to see their room published in the book which is now available for pre-order at Amazon Japan for 1,575 yen. While Kotobukiya cant give a copy of the book to everybody who has their room published, they will be giving away the following:- The 5 top rooms will get a free copy of the book and this gorgeous Asuka 1/6 scale figure thats due out in October. Another 10 rooms will be randomly chosen from all published entries and the owners will be sent a free copy of the book. We have also prepared a co-branded Otacool site which Kotobukiya will be heavily promoting across za warudo! And this is the cover - pretty much final but they will swap some images depending on the submissions we get. So, if you had a dannychoo.com account before may 2009 then you should be able to log in with your user/pass at the time. If not then just signup and submit photos of your room. Folks in Singapore who submit photos of their room may be profiled at the AFA at the Kotobukiya/Otacool booth where there is due to be a 1/1 scale replica of my office ^^; 97% of the rooms previously submitted on dannychoo.com were great so don't worry thinking that your room is not good enough! We need you to submit your room again as that gives us permission to publish your photo and you get the chance to get some goodies.
