Japanese Umbrellas 26-10-2009 www.dannychoo.com Views 110 Caught out in the rain? Even worse - caught out in the rain without 100 yen to get one of those plastic see-through brolleys? Dont fret - you are in Japan. If you are in this situation then look around a shotengai (shopping district) where occasionally you will see a bunch of brolleys hung up like this for a fellow citizen to use. These brolleys are hanging on a sign in the middle of the walk way which usually means that you can just take one. The ones left outside a shop or restaurant belong to somebody inside so leave those ones alone ^^; Folks in the UK and Japan usually carry a brolley about when its due to rain but when I was in Seattle, hardly anybody carried one around - same in your neck of the woods? 最近の寒さと雨が最悪だね。This is a Tokyo Live Blogger post posted from the iPhone.
