Meiji Jingu in Harajuku are jam packed full of folks to make that wish and enjoy the company of others. Meiji Jingu shrine is located in a huge park called Yoyogi. Its been standing since 1920 (Taisho 9) and has been one of the most popular shrines for Hatsumoude. When you first arrive at the entrance you will see a sea of people who are lining up to make their prayers at the main building in the shrine grounds. Be prepared to stand in line for at least 30 mins - 1 hour. To get to Meiji Jingu, get off at Harajuku station and follow the signs or just ask anybody.
