Today we see Kanata digging into some soba buckwheat noodles after school. After that she'll get changed into her Solar Marine uniform before heading off for target practice in her Retrograde suit - illustrated as usual by Ikkyu-san
そ (so) for "soba"
Following on from the previous hiragana in this Moekana series which was せ, today we learn "そ" (so). Today's word is "そば” [蕎麦] (pronounced "sawbah") which means "soba noodles".
The katakana equivalent of "そ" is "ソ".
Example
You can use this in a sentence like:-
Uchi no soba wo kutta nowa dare da!
うちのそばを食ったのは誰だ!
Who ate my soba noodles!
Exercise
Make the shape of "そ" on the table when eating noodles next time - do this to impress a boy/girl on your first date.
