I love this illustration so much - perfect for a T-shirt! Here we see Mirai playing Taiko no Tatsujin during her lunch break. Illustrated by Ikkyu-san.

た (ta) for "taiko"

Following on from the previous hiragana in this Moekana series which was そ, today we learn "た" (ta). Today's word is "たいこ” [太鼓] which means "taiko drum".
The katakana equivalent of "た" is "タ".

Example

You can use this in a sentence like:-
Watashi no gojyukkiro no Taiko wo hakondekureba ichien ageru yo
私の50キロのたいこを運んでくれば1円あげるよ。
If you carry my 50 kilo taiko drum for me, I'll give you 1 yen.

Use this sentence when you are feeling generous.

Exercise

Write out "た" using cigarette ash on your best friends carpet while shouting out "た" as loud as you can.

All Hiragana in the Moekana series are tagged "hiragana"
